Body styling
Aerotech
GTi Engineering used a range of body styling including the likes of Zender, Kamei and BBS. In house they wanted to design their own kit and Peter Stevens chief designer at Lotus was employed to prepare the designs. The kit was manufactured under the Aerotech name and had the 'GTi' logo on the front valance near the number plate.

Zender
The German styling of Zender was a very popular choice with customers, the kits consisted of the Z600 Golf Rallye look-alike, Z6 for the three door with flares towards the rear and the Series II which was used on the three and five door models of Golf. Radical Zender styling for a front grille could be fitted with a set of 4 square lights. A rubberised rear wing was also available.
